Wednesday, October 25, 2006 Yesterday I went on a field trip with my students to a local farm. They had baby animals, a play area complete with tractor train rides, a ride in a hay wagon, a pumpkin patch, and a huge corn maze. This maze is awesome. Each year it's on a different field to allow the previous year's field to recover. The maze is in the shape of the scarecrow from the "Wizard of Oz" (see map below). Anyway after spending all morning at the farm, we went to a park for lunch, and then we arrived back at school around 2:00 p.m.. Needless to say the day was a success. So successful that I fell asleep promptly at 4:30 when I got home.
