July 07, 2006 I placed an order with an online company last week-the day before my tonsillectomy-and they said that due to the high volume of back-to-school ordering they were a week behind schedule so my shipment would take a week to process. I was fine with that. Well yesterday, I opened an email confirming my order. I noticed that the address was wrong, so I hurried and called the company to get that rectified. A woman answered and I proceeded to explain the problem. The woman interrupted me and said she couldn't hear what I was saying very well. I informed her that I just recently had my tonsils out and I was recovering. The woman gasped and said, "oh honey don't speak don't speak, my girlfriend just went through that and it was hell. I am so sorry. Don't speak and I'll fix this right away." Big. Long. Pause I said very slowly and distinctly, "Uh, I kind of need to tell you what the problem is first."
