December 25, 2006 It's somewhat poignant for me that my kids are no longer in the Santa-believing stage and it'll probably be at LEAST 10-15 years before I'm a grandma, but that doesn't lessen the magic of Christmas for me one bit. Today was a good day. Both my children seemed content and very appreciative. I'm pleased. Wyatt got a leather bomber jacket for Christmas. Apparently it scored big with him--not an easy feat for me being he's in that hard-to-please teenager phase. When it was time to head over to my parent's house, Wyatt--wearing his leather jacket-- asked to take the driver's seat (he still has his driver's permit). He turned a corner a bit shakily and I just remarked "careful." He responded, "Maybe I shouldn't be driving I'm checking myself out too much." With that in mind, may you all find peace and happiness this holiday season.
