August 08, 2006 I get reprimanded by a select 2 (yeah you two) if I don't blog in a timely fashion. You big babies. I was up in northern Utah last weekend camping (one night), and to pick up my daughter--she's been camping with her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. On the way home Sunday afternoon, we were driving along on the highway when we noticed a smoke plume up ahead to the left of the freeway. As we got closer the fire had crossed the highway and was blocking traffic. Of course we stopped a ways away, but we still got ash and smoke all over in our car. I also saw a lot of idiot drivers during this time. One car was gawking so much at the fire that they didn't see the BIG ASS FIRE TRUCK WITH BLARING LIGHTS AND SIRENS right behind them. Many cars were blocking the emergency vehicles. I was gobsmacked. When they finally let the southbound traffic start to go through slowly (our side), it was eerie to drive through such haze with small flames (they were contained) on either side of our vehicle. Two days later, my car still smelled of smoke, especially when I turned on the air conditioning. I went to an induction last week with about 200 people. I'd say 8 out of 10 women seemed to stuff their not-so-dainty feet into too small dainty size sandals/shoes. No wonder women have so many feet problem. Try wearing the right size ladies. Grief.
