August 14, 2005 "When Life Give You Lemons, Make Lemonade." I'm sure many of you have heard that saying before. It's the mantra of a wealthy lemon grove owner. It basically means that when trials come our way, we're supposed to make the most out of bad circumstances i.e. find the positive among the negative. Well the theory is all fine and dandy except if I drink too much lemonade the acidity in the lemons causes me to get heartburn. So make the most of crap situations and still suffer in the meantime? Hmmm. I thought that maybe this could also mean that if life is going horrible for someone, then that someone could turn it around by making life better for their neighbors. I can do that. I can make lemonade for others when I'm handed lemons, but I'm charging.
